Just because you are sneezing, does not mean that you necessarily have a cold.
Do You Think You Have A Cold? The past few months in the New Orleans Metropolitan Area have been an absolute whirlwind when it comes to the weather. One day it is in the 80s and the next it is in the 30s. This is the perfect recipe for a cold or even the flu. But, just because you have symptoms of a cold, you may not actually have a cold.
It could be allergies. When the cold weather comes in, it may actually bring with it some relief from mold and pollen in the air. Either cold or hot, we will be spending a lot of time indoors to get away from either temperature. But, this also means that when you spend more time indoors, you will have more exposure to indoor allergens.
Cigarette smoke, pet dander, dust mites, fireplace smoke, household chemicals can all contribute to allergy and asthma symptoms. Many people also like to open the windows and doors to let in fresh air into their homes. It does just that but it also lets in the stuff from the outside into the home with that fresh air.
